Holiday Joy!

I've been talking about taking an online photography class for a year now and finally took the plunge! It started yesterday and I'm already totally loving it.
It's all about documenting the holidays, growing in my ability as a photographer, and remembering to include the little things that make the season special for our family. I'll be posting lots of my pictures from the class leading up to Christmas so stay tuned!

Have you ever wanted to take a class about something you were interested in? Did you go for it or are you still waiting? Do share!

(This picture was taken around Christmas last year. I'm so excited to compare what I took then to the pictures I'll take this year!)

Little Feet

Sometimes I get so caught up in getting things done and going places that I some how forget that there are little feet following me. Sometimes I just need to slow down. I realized this the other day when I was walking through a parking lot holding two little hands, pulling on them to go faster. Then it hit me, why do we need to go faster? I wanted my kiddos to keep up with me. It made me sad that I had done this without even realizing it but was so thankful to have seen it so clearly. So now, when I wake up in the morning and think about what needs to be done and where we will be going, I stop and think about the little feet that walk with me and remind myself that it's so very good to slow down and enjoy the journey.

Simple Living

I was introduced to blogs by a friend about a year ago and by chance stumbled upon one that I adore (*the web address is listed below). This by far is one of my favorites because of the truth that's packed into each post. It's all about enjoying and simplifying life in a chaotic world that's always pushing the "more is better and will make you happy" concept. The author of the blog just had her first book published and I can't wait to get my hands on it!

Check out her site - I hope you'll love it like I do.
