Baby Love!

I had the pleasure of taking pictures of this sweet baby girl when she was 6 days old. She wasn't very interested in sleeping but was wonderfully peaceful and totally alert during our time together. It always amazes me to gaze at a little person, so new in the world, just beginning life.


Have I mentioned how excited I am to get to take newborn photos of my own baby yet? Most of you know I'm expecting our third boy at the end of
February and can hardly wait to meet him! I didn't take pictures like these of our other two (although, thanks to my parents and in-laws who gave us a newborn session with a wonderful photographer, we do have gorgeous newborn pic's of our second).

My interest in photography was sparked when my second son was 7 months when a professional photographer friend of ours did a family photo shoot for us. I was so inspired by the beautiful portraits she took of us in the park while my kids happily played and enjoyed themselves that I began to dream about being able to do that too. After practicing on my kids and anyone elses that would let me, I asked on of my dear friends if, when her baby was born, I could come take pictures of her. Thus
began my love affair with itty bitty tiny ones.
